Matthews Beefy Baby Stand

It seems like a mean-spirited thing to label something as "beefy", but don't jump to the wrong conclusion here.

In this case, it refers to the fact that this is a robust, strong, quality-made stand with a baby pin mount welded to the top riser. See? No one is insulting any babies here. It's just that some weaker stands also have a baby pin at the top, but they're inexpensive and usually not very well made.

This stand is (like most things from Matthews) very well built and engineered to hold up to 22 lbs at its full height of 8.5' via two risers. Take note that that is MUCH more than a C-stand is rated for, and this stand only weighs 12.5 lbs.

This version has a "Rocky Mountain" leg, which allows you to make sure it is level on uneven ground or stairs. It also collapses down into a much smaller package (~41" tall x 4.5" in diameter) for super easy transport and storage. Finally, it has a larger footprint (33.5") than a regular c-stand for greater stability.

Basically, this thing is awesome. Rent it for incredibly stable support of any lights or grip gear that can use a baby pin. And don't be afraid to call it beefy as much as you like. It wears the name with pride.
